On its moving, insistent "Piramida" (4AD), Efterklang uses a variety of electronic sounds, brass, inventive percussion and layered voices under lead singer Casper Clausen for its moody chamberpop.
The record is an 11-track foray into theatrical, space-themed chamberpop that falls somewhere between the score of a Broadway musical and a collection of sweet and playful nursery rhymes.
The gorgeous mix of meandering instrumental arrangements, expansive ambiance, and wonderfully earnest vocals creates a sort of spacey chamberpop that seems to float wherever the wind may take it.
